26-28 Sep 2006 - Anyone for Hashish
We made it through customs.... after being pushed from pillar to post and parting money of course. So foolisly I thought we should explore the North East coast while the weather was good, we headed for a camp site in Chefchaouen. As we drew close we thought they were expecting us!!as flag poles were being put up kerbs painted red & white but it was the king coming to open a local school. The camp site was full of soldiers, and so were all the hotels, so we pushed on for Al Hoiceima 374kms of hard twisting mountainous roads. Out from nowwhere men would jump into the road waving little bags of hashish, or cars would over take us and while the passengers would waving their bags out of the window the driver was trying to push us of the road!!Our first day in Africa and we had broken the first rule "driving at night" we got to Al Hoiceima at 8pm
